WWWE Logo Java

Java is a new object-oriented programming language and environment from Sun Microsystems. Sun has characterized Java as a simple, object-oriented, distributed, interpreted, robust, secure, architecture-neutral, portable, high-performance, multithreaded, dynamic language. Java can be used to create standalone "applications" which can be executed on any platform with a Java runtime installed. Java applications can also be executed anywhere on a network, which makes Java a great language for CGIs. Netscape Communications Corporation has licensed Java to implement in their Netscape Navigator browser.
